Krassimira Stoyanova was born in Veliko Tarnovo, she studied violin at the Vesselin Stoyanov Musical School in Rousse and graduated singing and violin at the Plovdiv Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts. In 1995 Stoyanova made her professional debut as a singer in Sofia National Opera. Since 1998 she has been engaged at the Vienna State Opera where she received the Kammersaengerin prestigious title.
Krassimira Stoyanova was often invited to perform in Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, Washington Opera, Covent Garden Royal Opera House, the Salzburg Festival, Teatro alla Scala, the Bavarian State Opera, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Opera Bastille in Paris, the opera theatres in Zürich, Helsinki, Tel Aviv, Hamburg, Geneva, Cologne, Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro, Chicago, Tokio, etc.
She was working with world renowned conductors like Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Daniele Gatti, Bernard Haitink, Manfred Honeck, Mariss Jansons, Fabio Luisi, James Levine, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Seiji Ozawa, Georges Prêtre, Yuri Temirkanov, Christian Thielemann, Franz Welser-Möst.
In 2013 Ms.Stoyanova received the Apollo Thoxophoros Award, given by Apollonia Art Foundation for exceptional contribution to Bulgarian culture and its achievements abroad. She is a holder of the Golden Century Badge of Honour of the Bulgarian Ministry of culture and the Golden Quill Award given by Classic FM Radio.
Krassimira Stoyanova has been awarded with Doctor Honoris Causa title of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv.
Participation is open to young opera singers in Bulgaria and abroad from 18 to 35 years of age and will be held from the 2nd to the 6th of September in Sozopol. Each active participant will be engaged one academic hour a day.
All candidates are invited to submit by email an application form and a video of a song or an aria of their choice (candidates must be full size portrayed).
Ten active participants will be selected by Krassimira Stoyanova after the audition.
Registration to attend the master class as an auditor/ listener is open to everyone.
- Active students - 250 EUR for foreign participants, 300 BGN for Bulgarians
- Auditors/Listeners - 150 BGN for Bulgarians, 150 EUR for foreign participants
- Santa Marina Holiday Village - 120 BGN/ 60 EUR (bed& breakfast)
- Private rooms in Sozopol -75 BGN/35 EUR (accommodation only)
Official Diploma, signed by Krassimira Stoyanova, will be issued to all active participants. The graduates will participate in a Gala concert, part of the Apollonia 2017 programme.
